| MacOS X - Medical Office Management Application | ||
| Our TessSystem and
All_Med series of products have serviced the Medical industry for 20
years. They have kept up with the times as Macintosh Operating
System went from version 1.0 to version 9.2.2. They have also
kept pace with the changing needs of the medical office going from a
single user - single doctor product in 1986, the year it was
released, to a multi-user networked solution efficiently taking care
of multi-doctor practices. Our database, which was designed in house long before the relational databases became generally available for use in the PC industry, has served the needs of our customers well. Its compact size has allowed our users to back up their work on inexpensive media even with the database containing two decades worth of patient populations. We have also continued to service the needs of our uses in a timely manner with quarterly updates. The Macintosh computer and our TessSystem software started their life as innovative products, well ahead of the industry. But just as Apple was realizing that Macintosh System software was reaching the age where it can longer be maintained as a top class product, we were finding it difficult to provide our customer many new and innovative features in the existing Macintosh environment. While Apple was designing and creating Mac OS X, we were investigating all of the available platforms to see how we can continue to produce innovative software for the medical industry. It was clear to us, that MacOS X or not, creating business solutions for any industry requires a robust Database Management System. With the arrival of MacOS X, while feasible, it would not have served the needs of our users for us to add a MacOS X User Interface on top of our existing database. Just as MacOS X was designed from scratch, we decided to design and architect our Application from ground up. Now we are happy to report that at about the time when Apple releases their next version of MacOS X called Leopard, we should be in a position to release a version of our software that runs on MacOS X, offering the same kind of intuitive User Interface that our users have enjoyed for nearly 2 decades. |
